Why can't non-members use the search function?

This is essential for people who come here and look for info. We are trying to reach people who are not members. If they can't use the search funtion they can't look at the data base.

Also, they can't access the "latest posts" or "today's posts"... why? I tried to do it w/o logging in and it wouldn't let me.

Why are we trying to punish people who are coming here for info. They're not all "spooks", some are people who just don't want register as members. WTF is the matter with that?

And don't move this to the "support" section... I don't need "support"

Just fix the problem.
