One percenters are the so-called "outlaw bikers." Pretty much all of the biker groups consider themselves to be one percenters.

I think you read a little too much into people riding motorcycles. I ride a Harley, and I love to ride. I'm not a Biker wannabee. I don't sport a ponytail and all the requisite biker tough guy fashion. In fact, I'm as square as a block of wood. Yes there is an element of risk in riding a motorcycle, and maybe it is foolish to put yourself at any unnecessary risk. I seem to recall RMac, that you also engage in a past time that is quite risky, namely Para-Gliding and Hang-Gliding. I did some Hang-gliding at Crestline in San Bernadino, Ca and in Lake Elsinore, tandem flights, lessons and solo. It can be quite dangerous. I saw a guy's wing bust, and he came twirling down out of the sky; he only managed to get his chute out at the last second. He ended up gouging his ass real bad on some Scrub Oak, lucky him. His $5000 high performance glider was FUBAR. Para-gliders are even more prone to having a wing collapse due to high wind shears and updrafts, due to the fact that there is nothing inside of the wing giving it rigidity. Maybe you should quit flying by your logic.

Me, I like to ride because I like to be outside on a nice day and feel the wind in my face. You really are seeing things differently on a motorcycle.
