A) He ran as a Republican
As soon as the Fox News Channel told Republican lemmings that Ron Paul blamed America's Middle East foreign policy for 9-11 he had no chance. Ron Paul was then tarred with the label "he blames America" and from that he was smeared as a "liberal". When actual liberals like Alan Colmes were nice to Ron Paul in TV interviews it further reinforced the Republican lemming perception that Ron Paul was a "secret liberal". Now to the foreign policy itself that Ron Paul was criticizing he ran into more problems. For starters these lemmings don't even know what that policy was/is--they don't read--so something like a bunch of disgruntled ragheads "hating freedom" made more sense to them.
B) He is old and frail and has weak body language
This unfortunate aesthetic issue reinforced the "wimp" label he was given by the NeoCons. NeoCon forums began referring to Ron Paul supporters as "Paulettes" to imply that Ron Paul was a sissy and his followers belonged in a dress and weren't real men.
C) He didn't advocate a Pro-White position.
Alex Linder was right about this, none of the sucking up to Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks gained Paul the votes he wanted. Not only that but it ruined a great chance to prove to the lemmings that he was masculine. Sure, White Nationalists are smeared as "nuts" and "crazies" but one thing I've never heard them called is "wimps". To advocate a Pro White position is masculine and this was the one area that Ron Paul had an opportunity to show balls especially in the eyes of Joe Sixpack. If Joe Sixpack and NASCAR Dad thought Ron Paul was a "passive pussy" on the Muslim issue the least he could have done was kick some Black ass and he failed to do this.
D) At least openly he expressed the mainstream view that 9-11 was done by Muslim terrorists
If he had claimed it was Mossad or an inside job by the CIA it would make more sense why he was "soft" on Muslims of why he was against the war in Iraq, he'd be doing so because he didn't believe that Muslims had done 9-11. With the way Ron Paul handled this he ended up saying to the world that he believed in 9-11 as a great big Muslim attack on the U.S., but he henceforth refused to feel the same emotional reaction that the common man lemming felt from the event, it created a reality disconnect between him and the common man that in the end didn't make sense.
Anything else he could have done differently?
