I remember a couple years ago he would say "right now we have 1000 users listening on our shoutcast", i would connect to the shoutcast server via telnet and it would send the headers back saying he had the max number of users set at like 32

I don't think he's lying, but he is wasting an enourmous amount of money hosting those large archives on his server.

Bottom line is he should be getting 5k a month, and he should be running a 24/7 radio station.

Hal obviously can't keep an Internet radio show going, after years of trying to. What he needs to do instead is join the Von Bluven's Show as his microphone technician and office clerk (without pay, of course) and then, after a few years of on the job training, move up to assistant radio host, if he's been a good boy.

I posted this as my second post to this forum and was told via a "little box" in the member's list that I had been banned for no reason and that the ban would never be lifted. Unless that is just a glitch (which I hope it is) the person who banned me for this post can kiss my rosy red ass!

Why does Hal Turner sound like a tele evangelist always begging for money, yet as far as I have seen, no other comparable site on the net does?

Anybody ever heard of or remember Harry Peyton from Hinton, West Virginia? He is the godfather of the modern tele evangelist. "If you don't keep sending me your dollars, I will have to shut down this "free" avenue of the gospel and the blood of the sinners I was not able to reach will be on your hands."

He was a forerunner of the "Cash for Heaven" crowd and when he died, Falwell, Robertson, Billy Grahmn Crackers, the "DR" Bob Jones (of BJU) Tammy Faye and her faggot husband and all the greats were at his funeral in Roanoke, VA.

Hal Turner follows their philosophy to a "t" in soliciting support for his spiel.

I am convinced that Turner is 100% talk, 0% walk and the rest speaks for itself. Yeah, yeah, we know all about the letter he "sent" to Chernoff. Any twelve-year-old stamp collector with a knowlege of the rudiments of the workings of the USPS can produce the same kind of envelope with a return stamp.

The rest of his offensive diatribe about how he told the US Gov't to fuck off and die is notibly lacking in any video or audio transcripts of his supposed confrontation with the "goons". Come on! We need more than his "word" that such and such happened.

The only verifiable action we hear from Turner is that he is in dire financial straights.

"Please give me money so I can guide you! Without your financial support, I won't be able to guide you and you will be lost!"

The fact is that the "news" he posts on his site is normally 12 to 36 hours old, and it has already been posted on sites like VNN or others where I suspect he gleans his "fresh" information..

If I had to depend on Hal Turner for the latest in developments around the world, and in the US, I would be in piss poor shape.

As for his challenges to strike with an "iron fist" and all that blather, I will leave you to his imagination.

Damn, you guys are harsh. I just started listening to Hal Turner a few weeks ago and I gotta say, it's nice to hear him go after the jew like he does. It's pretty damned funny sometimes, too. Sometimes, the callers themselves are even funnier. He gets some real goofballs calling up sometimes.

I look at it this way, I've used his website and downloaded some archived shows and enjoyed them. Having done this, it just makes sense to pay for the services I'm using if the provider of those services needs funding to cover the expenses. I mean, WTF is $20?

What ever happened to that fight that's supposed to happen between Hal and Blizzard...is it still on?

I too agree that Hal greatly exaggerates the costs of running his network. But I'm still a fan of Hal and have donated in the past and will continue to do so (if he doesn't take his network down).

However, one show a week is only worth so much to me. If he had more shows I would donate more money more often. He says he would do more shows if more people donated, however I am reluctant to give more for something that I may not get. Sure, he has other shows on, but there are no archives kept. Since I live in South Africa the time differences prevents me from listening (most shows are on at about 2-4am here).

According to Hal's website, there have been $2,679 in donations this month. If the running costs really are in excess of $5,000 then it would seem to me that he has a bad business plan. If bandwidth really is so expensive then why are the archives so large and why isn't he using bittorrent?

If Hal's network does go down I hope someone else will fill the void. Most other WN websites are operated on a shoestring budget and I'm sure someone can make it work. Personally I would like to see the NSM run with it. Bill White and Von could definately pull it off if they gave it a go.

I can't believe there are still people around who fall for Hal's scamming of money. He's done this at least a dozen times in the past, he'll cancel his show, then bring it back in order to strain every penny from hardworking WN.

The true cost of his network is around $150 bucks a month. He'll save about $2 in bandwidth if he doesn't do his show.

They will. The NSM shows will continue. Metzgers show will continue. So will most of the others. You'll just have to go to their websites to download the podcast.

Seriously... he is a very good broadcaster... great voice, well informed... far better than the highly paid professional talking heads on commercial stations.

However, Hal is having himself on if he thinks volunteer contributions are going to pay for a $5000 per month show. This is just not going to happen. If he can't reduce costs, he will have to wrap up the show. It's a shame, but that's life. I'd like to sail around the world in a yacht, but unfortunately I cannot afford it.

I assume most pro-white listeners are already strapped for funds themselves - it rubs me the wrong way for prominent pro-whites to make thier money from other pro-whites - we need leaders who have already made a success of their life and don't need our money - just our votes and help in campaigning.

I expect my brothers and cousins to earn a living without taking money from me - if pro-whites are like a famlly, or a clan, then our first calling should be to ADD wealth to the clan FROM OUTSIDE, not merely transfer wealth from within the clan for personal aggrandizement.
