I'm just interested in people's sincere opinions about a womans role in the world. I'm still kind of forming my own opinion on this, but I'm quite traditionalist on this sort of thing, perhaps it's just my upbringing, but I feel women in the army is a big no-no. I'd feel ashamed a woman going into battle with me, especially if she went ahead of me. And to see a woman killed would horrify and shame me for the rest of my life. I feel the same way about women in football. (soccer) As you know soccer is quite a rough game, with players and fans giving all kinds of abuse to officials. Everyone I've talked to have had no problem with seeing women in football which is a mans sport. My argument is that they have womens football so why not take part in that? And what is the problem in saying that, I was made to feel quite guilty about saying this to the people I spoke to (on a football forum) I dont want to see women abused, shouted at, swore at on a football pitch.

Perhaps the woman in question might do a good job on the line, calling offsides (there was a women in a game the other day who did a good job) But it still irks me. Football is about the only thing men have left in this feminist world we have, but now we must have women officials. And if you say you have a problem with that, you are a bigot etc etc. It seems you can't have an opinion these days that is in any way negative about anything outside of white and male.

Just wondering what your opinions are on this? Women in the forces, women in mens sports (snooker, football etc)
