My very first amatuer attempt at a grandfather clock. Never could get the pendelum to work for some reason, so I might rip the door off and install shelves for use as a book shelf. Got frustrated with it and cut corners on a lot of stuff, such as never adding glass in front of the clock face. With the exception of some cheap trim, all the lumber was second rate stuff laying around in the garage. If I recall right everything else (clock, pendelum, stain, glass for door) was under $50 if that. I didn't make much of an effort to hide the fasteners, but other than that I was proud it considering I suck at this.
I'm thinking of doing another one with high quality materials. Birch plywood, whole 9 yards. This time I want to put a little honkey into it and incorporate my redheaded woodpecker as the clock face.
