Bronx veteran Bob Levine has his Nazi enemy to thank for saving his life twice during World War II

Levine, now 89, had his leg amputated by German Army physician Edgar Woll in 1944. The doctor also took his dog tags, marked 'H' for Hebrew, ensuring captors would not kill him

This story reveals more than the jew would likely want it to.

So during the war which they are losing, NS Germany was providing significant medical services to capture American soldiers who were invading their country.

And the implication is that NS Germany was not killing captured American soldiers.

The German doctor must not feared to much for his life by helping a jew.

And just how many Germans would have come in contact with the jew, starting in the battle field where wounded, before he finally ended up with a German doctor? None of the Germans noticed the was a jew?

"I die in the faith of my people. May the German people be aware of its enemies!"
Paul Blobel, SS Officer, 1951, last words prior to being executed
