I took this test while buzzed so I probably should have scored a tad lower, as I find that beer usually increases my IQ by at least 5 to 7 points.

BTW, while we're at it, how big's the pecker everybody?
My IQ's so high you'd need a 22' extension ladder to read it.

Is it still called ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)?
The ASVAB is not an IQ test. As you point out, it's a vocational aptitude test.
Gee, I hope the people who claim to have taken military IQ tests in the past aren't confusing it with the ASVAB "idiot test", as I like to call it. 
It was a cute idea, but the only thing this topic proves is that a lot of people don't trust the BBS software to guarantee their anonymity.
To be honest, if I had gotten a low score, I wouldn't have posted it either.

That's what I was trying to ascertain. 
I don't recall the military ever conducting IQ tests while I was enlisted. I don't believe they ever did "standard" IQ testing. What would be the point? The military wants to know if you are capable of learning and performing specific skills. A standard IQ test is useless for that.

Do you guys have "test the nation's IQ" in America?
In Australia, there is a TV show where they test a range of people from different professions and groups, (although not racial groups of course), right across the country, with iq questions that you write down your answer to, and then get the answers at the end so you can mark yourself.
Then they compare scores for all the test subjects (of whom there are thousands), and show the statistical markers (mean, mode, median), so you know where you stand in relation to the rest of the country.
I was fairly happy with my mark of 119 when I took it... it seems about right for me I think.

No. At least not regularly. There was a one time show like that on one of the networks a couple of years ago.

I don't place much credence in IQ tests, especially ones that take 15 minutes to complete. I think they are testing ones ability to take a test. I read intelligencetest.coms sample questions first to get a feel of where they were coming from. I ended up doing pretty good but after reviewing the answers I found that I got the easy ones wrong. As example, the rancher is building an open-ended straight fence. I said 4...the correct answer was 5.
Personally, in my humble opinion, outrageous balls outweighs big brains anyday of the week. Just ask Fade....that squirt couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag and would run away at the first sign of trouble.
