I've become a 1911 fan. I love my Kimber.

Sig, with laser sight. Glock's are great too. Anything from Germany. They are machined better, with closer tolerances.

At sharp contrast is the Com-Blok stuff which is very loose and forgiving. I love the simpleness of a Kalashnikov.

"Unintended Consequences" is a very boring book because of the way it is written,

I read it when it came out in '96 and couldn't put it down.

Also, after the ballon goes up, an invaluable gun would be a Gemtech .22. Also I like the 7mm Rem mag. 2250 fps at 500 yards is head and shoulders above the others and has a SD higher than the .300 Win mag. Of course if u have property a .50 bmg is a must.

Don't forget a decent rangefinder and ballistics software. Nightvision is good to for spotting.

And don't ever skimp on optics!!!! It could be the difference between life and death in battle.

Colt AR-15, Colt 1911 .45.

A tribute to my days as a grunt, I guess.

This is my insurance policy.

I bought those Black Talons at a gun show (years ago) when they got all that bad publicity. Anyone know if they are still available?

I have 2 handguns. Kimber Ultra Carry 45 and a Taurus Millenium Pro 9mm. I've got to say....for 320$ there cannot be any handgun better than the Taurus. For anybody concerned with guns and small kids, the Taurus has the best safety feature I have ever seen with the side lock.

I think you can find the Black Talon name if you search hard enough. Now they call them SXT's

My favorites are the CZ-75B, Glock 19/23/32, SIG P220, AKM, CAR-15, Mossberg 500, Remington 870 Wingmaster, and of course, the Marlin lever-action.

Para Ordnance P-13 .45 with hi-cap (13!) mags. Very cool reliable piece. I think mine had a longer barrel than this one. Like a fool, I sold it.

Bad ass weapon of war. This was a variant of the Belgian .308 FN/FAL. And unlike the picture, Feinstein made it so I couldn't have a flash suppressor. Like a fool, I sold this, too.

I still have my trusty Ruger .22. This was very helpful in practicing eye-hand coordination, and multiple target acquisition. Not too effective in stopping enraged PCP addicted niggers knocking off convenience stores, though.

When I rearm, I'll go with .45 again probably, not sure of make yet. But I wouldn't use the .308 beast for plinking during the apocalypse. I haven't checked them out thoroughly enough yet, but I'll probably end up with some variant of the AK. Maybe AR-15. Not sure. I also had a nice synthetic stock Remington 700 .30-06 with a Leupold scope. Fool that I am...

It is very, very important to get in as much range time as you can!

Heckler & Koch P7 9mm. Fast draw weapon, keep a round in the chamber and squeeze the grip to cock it.

The democratic state of grate britain disarmed it's citizens of handguns so this one is currently a daydream for me. I'll just have to watch as the state commandeers responsibility for my personal safety for while longer.
