Soros buys major right-wing Spanish-language radio stations to monopolize information in favor of Biden

An investment group affiliated with the leftist tycoon will buy the historic Radio Mambí and 18 other Spanish-language stations characterized by their right-wing, anti-communist programming.

A George Soros media group received the go-ahead this week from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to buy a total of 18 Spanish-language radio stations distributed throughout the United States, despite complaints that this would create a monopoly in radio broadcasting.

Among these 18 stations is the emblematic Radio Mambí, a station historically linked to the Cuban exile community and of anti-communist ideology, which Soros’ allies will now control once the deal is finalized.

Univision is selling many of its Spanish-language radio stations — including Miami's ultraconservative Radio Mambí — to a group led by Democrats.

Creating a beachhead in a broadcast market often dominated by conservative or right-wing programming, a new and Latino-owned, bipartisan but Democrat-led media group will announce Friday it's purchasing 18 major Spanish-language radio stations owned by the TelevisaUnivision network — including Miami's Radio Mambí.

LIMA, Peru (JTA) — Eliane Karp, Peru’s former Jewish first lady, has flown from the United States to Israel in an attempt to avoid extradition to Peru in a money laundering case.

Peruvian Prime Minister Alberto Otárola announced the news on Wednesday at a press conference in Lima.

“The United States Department of Justice has informed the Peruvian embassy in the US that Mrs. Eliane Karp has taken a flight to Israel using her Israeli passport,” he said.

lima, peru | The first lady of Peru, Eliane Karp, is Jewish. So is the country’s second vice president, David Waisman. And under former President Alberto Fujimori, the Peruvian economy was supervised by a Jewish finance minister, Efrain Goldenberg.

Yet the nation’s 3,000-member Jewish community — an island of wealth in the midst of 25 million poor people — has been shaken by various scandals that have resulted in the imprisonment of some of its most prominent members.

David Graiver (1941 — 1976) was an Argentine businessman and banker who was investigated in the 1970s for alleged money laundering of US$17 million for the Montoneros, a leftist guerrilla group. He was indicted for embezzlement after his reported death by Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, who had thought he might have faked his death, because of the September 15, 1976, failure of American Bank & Trust. This was the fourth-largest bank failure in United States history at the time, and Graiver's banks in Argentina and elsewhere also failed. A New York court declared Graiver officially dead on January 15, 1979, clearing the way for resolution of some outstanding financial issues.
