@varg Varg, is it still possible to pay the old forum hoster to extend for another month? Maybe if you tell me the host contact I could call them up and extend? I would really like to get the old forum archived on the Internet Archive, which seems like a pretty good solution for ensuring its existence into the future.

@george-witzgall No. There's some thing I didn't mention . I didn't have access to certain portals. Alex and I discussed it and transferring them to me shortly before he died but I think at that point he was in pain and out of it so I never got them

@varg Damn, so there's no way to even archive the posts? That's a bummer. I don't understand tech speak, but if there's any way to archive at least some of them, or maybe explain to the hoster that the owner died suddenly. I think VNN represented something unique in our history and it would be a shame to lose all of it.

@varg Also, if you could give me the name of the hoster, maybe I could contact them and explain the situation and get the forum up as read only long enough to get a complete archive (a month or so).

In my opinion, it's extremely important that we get the ability to post pictures. Maybe someone could include an "add media" button, the kind we have on the main VNN page where we write blog posts?

@stewart-meadows I added that now, the addon was about $30 but i think it's worth it. I'm still working on getting the site more responsive and importing all old content..
