Then there's the legendary EDM song L'Amour Toujours, the "far-right anthem" for European patriots.
Munich’s Oktoberfest to ban Italian disco hit co-opted by far right
Managers say no place at beer festival for song adapted with Nazi slogan ‘Germany for the Germans, foreigners out’

Tue 28 May 2024 17.44 CESTThe managers of Munich’s Oktoberfest have said they will seek to ban an Italian disco hit from being played at the world’s most famous beer festival after its hijacking by far-right revellers.
In recent months the schmaltzy love lyrics of L’amour Toujours, a catchy 2001 hit by Italian DJ Gigi D’Agostino, have repeatedly been drowned out at public gatherings by a Nazi slogan: “Germany for the Germans, foreigners out”.
Last week footage from the elite German party island of Sylt showing people singing the racist version of the song went viral, causing a wave of outrage and a string of lawsuits.

BERLIN (Reuters) – German police have opened an investigation after a video showing young people singing “foreigners out, Germany for the Germans” at a village festival circulated on social media, a spokesperson said on Friday.
The incident came to light at a time of heightened concern over the rise of far-right sentiment across Europe, and as Germany prepares to welcome millions of fans from abroad to the European football championship.

The song “L’amour Toujours” by DJ Gigi D’Agostino from 2001 has been co-opted by the far-right in recent months, with revellers singing “Germany for the Germans, foreigners out” over it.
Two off-duty police officers reported hearing racist chants while attending the Bergkirchweih festival in Erlangen, Bavaria, German authorities say. According to the police statement, the officers noticed two men, aged 21 and 26, were yelling "Foreigners out!" while the song "L'amour toujours" was playing in one of the festival venues on Friday evening.

The latest incident comes only days after a viral video which showed several young people chanting the same slogan to the same tune in an expensive restaurant in Sylt, an island resort in northern Germany. At least one of the youths in the Sylt video is giving the Hitler salute with his fingers on his upper lip to mimic the Hitler moustache.
The video caused uproar across the country. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and other top political leaders condemned the Sylt incident, with Scholz decrying the chants as "disgusting" and "unacceptable."

The comment section for the official video is still turned off because so many people left pro-white messages.
Here are some videos of Germans chanting Deutschland den Deutschen - Ausländer raus! ("Germany for the Germans - foreigners (get) out!") to L’amour Toujours:

“Döp dödö döp”: How to get rid of Gigi D'Agostino's Sylt scandal catchy tune
Xenophobic chants to the party hit are causing a stir across the country. Even those who didn't know the song before can't get it out of their heads. We're here to help.

30.05.2024 06:03I don't know about you, but the song that is the basis of the Sylt state affair is currently screwing itself into my ears with all its might. It's funny because I hadn't even heard the song anymore - I must have heard it before, but long since forgotten it. But now that "L'amour toujours" is being forced upon you in public, you can't help but react in some way. So you go to YouTube and, out of curiosity, listen again to the song that the Italian DJ and music producer Gigi D'Agostino released in 2001 as the fifth and final single from his second studio album.
Of course, D'Agostino had no idea what would be made of it at German village festivals and graduation parties since October 2023 - a different lyric with a xenophobic slogan.

There's only one thing that helps - the catchy tune has to go! Music physiologists recommend several strategies in this context. Chewing gum is said to help because the chewing motion interrupts the inner singing. But you can also sing: of course not the song that caused the catchy tune, but a different one. This strategy has actually helped me. Whenever "L'amour toujours" approaches my brain, when the nasty "Döp dödö döp" tries to take over my head, I immediately counteract it with Scooter. And there are a few other ideas that we would like to present to you here if you are also looking for an anti-earworm. Good luck and happy singing along!
