Who is Michael Ledeen?

From "creative destruction" to "total war," the guiding beliefs of the most aggressive foreign policymakers in the Bush administration may originate in the works of an influential yet rarely seen neoconservative.

Ledeen is a student of Machiavelli. His view on the war on terror is clear, he said: "Iraq is just one battle in a larger war, bringing down the regime in Iran is the central act, because Iran is the world's most dangerous terrorist country."

He was one of the founding organizers of Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). Played a role in the Bulgarian connection and in the transfer of arms to Iran during Iran-Contra.

In 1980 he entered into a collaboration with Francesco Pazienza, a member of Rome's extreme right-wing Masonic Lodge, P2 (Propaganda Due).
