(Jan. 13) -- He made Sen. Joe Biden his homeboy, convinced NBA players to go one-on-one with the president-elect and became a YouTube sensation. Now Damon Weaver, a 10-year-old Florida fifth-grader, has scored press credentials to cover the historic inauguration, according to Central Florida's News 13.

Weaver's newscasts for K.E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary School include interviews with high-profile athletes and politicians, and netting him appearances on MSNBC and CNN. The boy reporter had originally been denied official press passes in D.C., but the Inaugural Committee has now credentialed him, the local television station reports.

Still no word on whether he'll get his wish -- a sit-down with Barack Obama himself.
