18 years for knife murder in Västerås

VÄSTERÅS. On June 11, 2013 became a Swedish woman murdered and another woman seriously injured knife. Now the judgment has fallen against the offender, which has its roots in Uganda.

Joel Kirungi Kabagambe , 31, was sentenced today to 18 years in prison for murder and attempted murder . He also sentenced to pay 315,000 kronor in damages.

It was June 11 of this year as Eva- Marree Kullander Smith and Kabagambe was on family therapy in Cedar Ängens family treatment when they were in a protracted dispute over custody of the two joint children. The atmosphere between Eva- Marree Kabagambe and had long been strained , and the road was lined with threats and police reports . According to the mother of the murdered woman is Eva- Marree inter alia, have received death threats . Kabagambe should have said things like " I'll shoot you , or I'll shoot your dog ." Kabagambe also accused Eva- Marree to have damaged the two joint children.

Eva- Marree stood up immediately when they saw Kabagamde in the hall, he was dark in her eyes and held a knife in one hand . According to Lily , he was totally focused on Eva- Marree . Eva- Marree started running towards a gravel path that was outside the house and Kabagambe followed.

Lily sees that he administers several heavy blows against Eva- Marree and then goes in between to with a push to try to prevent him from murdering Eva- Marree . Lily then get yourself a stab in the neck. In a panic, running Lily into the house and yells to Elmes to call the police .

Thanks to the people around perceived that something serious happened in Cedar Ängens garden could Lily quickly get treatment and survived the attack and Kabagambe could be arrested on the spot by the police.

According to the police investigation and the autopsy report , there was no chance that Eva- Marree , although she tried, could defend itself against attack. She died of double-sided pneumothorax , damage to the heart and lungs as blood filled .
