If she's talking about what happened in Africa, she's not too far off base. The paradigm of the village was changed when international companies went in and made plantations and the men RAN OFF AND LEFT THEIR FAMILIES to work on the plantations. It's not so hard to teach a kid to say on seven languages "Hello", "Good Bye" and "Kill Whitey". I think this pretty much would summarize her knowledge.
