U.S. pro-Israel lobby seeks Iran divestiture
American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the most influential Israeli lobby, in America has warned U.S. state pension funds that they will face a campaign to sell billions of dollars invested in companies with ties to Iran.
The nationwide divestment campaign was one of the main messages delivered at the annual AIPAC convention in Washington. The group also called for harsher sanctions against Iran at the United Nations.

"If the largest state pension funds in this country were to divest from companies with ties to Iran, it would have a crippling effect on Iran's economy," he said.
AIPAC would reportedly work with other Jewish organizations this year to support divestment efforts in 10 states.
"Stiff sanctions and targeted divestments - these will be the focus as we work to keep the pressure on Iran," he said.
AIPAC announced experts involved in the Sudan-Darfur divestment campaign were also aiding its effort.
Several delegates said privately afterwards that sanctions were the only option, given the little appetite for launching a war with Iran after the catastrophe in Iraq.
Few Amereican companies have business ties with Iran.
Sounds like these Zionist maniacs are really out to put the squeeze on anyone doing business in any way related to Iran.
Isn't that almost like what an organized crime family would do?
