AIPAC urges U.S. to shut Iranian Web site

By Yossi Melman

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is urging the United States government to disconnect an Iranian news site from American Internet servers, charging that the site has ties to terrorist organizations. The allegation is based on a report published by Haaretz last month.

According to the Haaretz report, the site, Baztab, published details about a month ago of what it termed "an interrogation" of the two Israeli soldiers kidnapped by Hezbollah on July 12. Baztab's report claimed that the soldiers had admitted that Israel planned a military attack on Hezbollah in September or October, and the kidnapping had foiled this plan.

Based on this report and other information published on the site, AIPAC concluded that Baztab, which is supported by an American server, has ties with a terrorist organization. It therefore asked the U.S. Treasury Department to order the site shut down.

AIPAC is urging this even as it should (NOT "may") be required to register as a rat's nest of foreign agents:

In his ruling, Judge Ellis writes that there is "ample probable cause to believe" that Rosen and Weissman were acting as agents of a foreign power, not specifying the name of the foreign power. Other court documents point to[color="Red"] Israel as the country to which the two former AIPAC staffers passed on information they obtained from former Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin.
T
he judge did acknowledge the fact that lobbying activity does enjoy First Amendment protection in some cases, but nevertheless ruled that for the purpose of obtaining approval for wiretapping under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), Rosen and Weissman's activity can be seen as that of a foreign agent. This ruling is relevant only to the issue of issuing wiretap
warrants and is not a final court decision on whether the two former AIPAC employees were
actually acting as foreign agents for the purpose of the legal registration required for agents of a foreign nation.

[color="red"]Apart from the legal implications this ruling has for the case itself, it may also have repercussions concerning the future lobbying activity of AIPAC and other lobbying organizations in the US, since it could imply that the daily activity of lobby groups working on foreign policy issues can be seen as serving a foreign nation and thus require strict registration under the Department of Justice register of foreign agents.

I can't read Arabic so I have no idea what's on that website. This is what jew run wiki shows.

Baztab
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Baztab (Persian: بازتاب‎ meaning reflection) is an Iranian, Persian language, Tehran-based news website.

Although Baztab is an anti-reformist website, it sometimes criticizes Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government's policies and mostly unveils corruption cases inside the government. Baztab is widely believed to have close ties with, (or even managed by) Mohsen Rezaee, conservative politician, currrent secretary of Expediency Discernment Council and former Revolutionay Guards chief.

Baztab was filtered and suspended for a few weeks in October 2005 for allegedly insulting the Supreme Council of National Security's Chief, Ali Larijani. Baztab's suspension was removed after the site's editor Foad Sadeghi stepped down.

We should use every legal means at our disposal to see that those traitorous pieces of shit are required to register as foreign agents, which they clearly are, and also to use every avenue of our propaganda influence to see that they are prosecuted for having neglected and refused to do so up to this point, which has clearly been an attempt to subvert the law.

The only way to do this is to pursuade the right people. This is where our education efforts should be concentrated.

I agree.

We must expose AIPAC to the mass media for criminally refusing to register as a foreign agent, and do everything we can to get them prosecuted for it.

I've had success in the past calling in to cable news shows and respectfully bringing things like "Aztlan" and "La Raza" to their attention to get these issues before the public. I did that with CNN, and a week later, they were speaking about it and showing maps of Aztlan on the screen and warning the public about the "Reconquista".

We need to start networking and interacting more with the mass media and slowly bring them over to our side and agenda, in order to reach the masses of our people.

Maybe we can also do targeted email campaigns to every media figure out there, until we finally penetrate their consciousness.
