DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — Ford Motor Co. said Saturday it plans to idle an Automotive Components Holdings auto parts plant in Monroe that employs about 1,200 people after failing to find a buyer for the facility.
Ford spokeswoman Della DiPietro said the company is in final negotiations to move propshaft operations at the plant to another location, but production of catalytic converters and stabilizer bars will wind down by the end of next year.
