It's now possible to "deface", "vandalize", and "desecrate" a statue merely by hanging a piece of rope on the statue. No matter that the offending item can be removed simply by picking it up: the damage has still been done and the FBI gets involved straight away. A criminal matter, itz.

...a couple items of note: 1) James Meredith himself (still living, aged 80) has no use for the statue of himself and wants it removed from the Ol' Miss campus. Says itz "disrespectful" to God and to him. 2) no specifics on the claimed criminal charges. (Kinda hard to prosecute a "defacement" when no damage was done, but then again, niggers' hurt feelings are damage beyond measure, no?)
