These reactions are so silly that they are almost amusing. who becomes outraged over the display of a wax figure of a historical figure? It is not possible that a person who would is sane, IMHO.

Hitler is back in Berlin as a wax figure at a new Madame Tussauds wax museum, and some German politicians are outraged.

The figure is “tasteless beyond compare,” Christian Democratic Union (CDU) politician Michael Braun told German daily Der Tagesspiegel on Thursday.

Social Democratic (SPD) culture specialist Brigitte Lang told the paper she found the idea “unspeakable.”

The new Madame Tussauds is set to open in July on Berlin's Unter den Linden boulevard, just a few hundred meters from the Holocaust Memorial, and includes some 70 famous German historical figures like Marlene Dietrich and Albert Einstein.

The wax Adolf Hitler figure is not in any way glorified. He is posed as an aging, timid man sitting in a bunker.

Still, Green party culture expert Alice Ströver called the exhibition “tasteless, disgusting,” and “tacky.”

The head of a society that campaigned for the nearby Holocaust Memorial, Lea Rosh, told the paper that displaying Hitler next to Winston Churchill is tasteless. “The conflict of our history must not become consumerism and amusement,” she said.
