[color="black"]Bush: Iraq 'Could Be' Vietnam All Over Again
WASHINGTON, October 19, 2006 - President Bush said in a one-on-one interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos that a newspaper column comparing the current fighting in Iraq to the 1968 Tet offensive in Vietnam, which was widely seen as the turning point in that war, might be accurate.

*note - I speak from recollections of events in my youth watching television. I am not an expert on this subject, other members who served over there would know better than me.

I would say it is similar but not quite. Tet happened in late Jan 1968, It was on the news, I still remember the VC shooting it out with the guys at the U.S. embassy in Saigon, that was shown on the t.v. lots of times.
Tet lasted for a relatively short period of time, it was a major, all-out offensive involving huge #'s of enemy soldiers. They suffered heavy losses.
What is going on now in Iraq, is pretty bad, but it is more of a long, continuous attack, involving hit here, & hit there tactics.

But, you must all remember that since Bush is a white man, we must all respect him. Because of his genetics (suspect at best) we have to respect him. To do otherwise is to mark us as traitors to our race. Hail Bush and his white skin!
