GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- A 22-year-old Seminoles fan died Sunday after being shot in the head during what authorities called a parking garage dispute.
Andrew Arosemena was shot at about 2:20 a.m. when he asked a driver in the parking garage to move, according to police.
Arosemena died a few hours after the shooting at Shands-Gainesville Medical Center.
Police said Arosemena was riding in a car behind a blue car seen on surveillance video in the garage when two men walked up to the car in front of Arosemena's and started talking to the people inside.
Arosemena, a friend and his brother were waiting in line behind the blue car, waiting to get out the parking garage when Andrew stuck his head outside the passenger-side window and asked the other driver to hurry.
The suspects involved in Sunday morning's fatal shooting were talking with the occupants of this car, according to authorities.
"He stuck his head out the passenger-side window and yelled, 'Hurry up,' or something in those type of words to the vehicle in front. At this point, the two black males produced handguns and walked back to where the victim was sitting inside a town car," said Gainesville Police Department Lt. Keith Kameg. "The black male in the black T-shirt shot once inside the car, striking the victim in the head."
Gainesville police are asking the public for help finding the men involved in the fatal shooting.
"What we're hoping is that at 2:20 a.m., when this shooting took place, there were a lot of people in this parking garage. There were a lot of people exiting the parking garage. This took place on the second floor. Did anyone see anything? Did anyone hear anything?" Kameg said.
Police said Arosemena was in Gainesville for the Gator-FSU football game, but called the shooting a random act of violence that they said had nothing to do with the game.
Anyone who saw or has heard anything about Sunday morning's fatal shooting is asked to contact Gainesville police immediately.
It just never ends . . . until we stop it. All the guy did was to tell them to move. What do ya'll think the niggers will get? Thirty days in the hole? Probably not even that. Police always say it was a "random act of violence", when its goddamn niggers that commit the violence.
Kith, kin, and kind. First, last, and always.
