JACKSON, Tenn. - A federal jury convicted a white supremacist Thursday of attempting to acquire chemical weapons and explosives to destroy government buildings.

In tapes recorded by an undercover agent and played at his trial, Demetrius Van Crocker said that he dreamed of setting off a dirty bomb at the U.S. Capitol and that he wanted a helicopter license so he could bomb black neighborhoods or spray them with poison gas.

Van Crocker, a farmhand from McKenzie, Miss., was arrested in 2004 after the FBI agent, posing as an employee of the Pine Bluff Arsenal in Arkansas, gave him a water-filled Sarin gas canister and a small quantity of C-4 plastic explosives.

Sarin, a nerve gas, is considered one of the world's deadliest chemical agents.

The jury heard several hours of the secretly recorded tapes, in which Crocker used racial slurs besides making terroristic threats against the government.

Crocker became involved with neo-Nazi groups as a teen in rural west Tennessee, according to testimony. His anti-government rants attracted the attention of an informant, who contacted state and federal authorities.

Crocker, a 40-year-old divorced father of two, was convicted on five counts and faces up to life in prison. His sentencing was set for July 13.

sentenced to 30 years in prison for attempting to acquire nerve gas and explosives in a plot
to destroy government buildings.

Demetrius Van Crocker, a farmhand from McKenzie in West Tennessee, was arrested in 2004
after he tried to buy the weapons from undercover federal agents.

The 40-year-old divorced father of two told agents his dream was to set off a dirty bomb in
Washington D-C while the House and the Senate were in session.

A federal jury convicted Crocker in April of five charges of attempting to acquire chemical
weapons and stolen explosives with intent to harm individuals or damage a building.

Crocker became involved with neo-Nazi groups as a teenager in Jackson.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the F-B-I started investigating him after an
informant alerted the agencies to his anti-government rants.

Crocker also told an agent he wanted a helicopter license so he could spray or bomb black
neighborhoods in Jackson with poison gas and spike drugs with poison to kill black people.

Crocker was also sentenced to lifetime supervised release.

We should all reserve a special place in our hearts for informants. What a fun place the future will be when their names are made public.

The contemporary White nationalist movement has learned this lesson and doesn't let itself get entrapped. Anyone that considers doing anything remotely illegal can refer to Tom Metzger and the Lone Wolf philosophy.

Personally, I think the most effective things we can do are perfectly legal anyway. We need to change the culture now, and worry about other things that might not be legal later on.
