"I agree with your hypothesis that everyone has some form of bias instilled in them although we differ as to how it is instilled.
I raised my children to be color blind, and in doing so they were exposed to many different races and cultures.
They saw everyone as Human beings. They did not differentiate between the differences until others taught them there was a difference, because I always taught them everyone is human and bleeds red.
It was eventually learned by secondary school when you no longer have assigned seats at lunchtime.
My children always sat at the "integrated table", and were friends with everyone no matter color, creed, mental or physical ability.
They would never want me to hear they were being hateful in anyway.
I taught my children to stand up for the underdog. If more people would do that, racism, bullying and all forms of hate would stop."
