After reading Bill White's review I went out and saw Apocalypto.
I was somewhat startled and amused when I saw the opening sequence.
The Injuns were hunting a Tapir! They ran him into a wicked little trap and killed him. Then they cut off his balls and one of them ate it. Lol!
Now maybe I'm reading too much into this but could it be that this is Mel's way of getting in a digg at the jews?
We all know that one of the names given to jews is "Tapir." I believe Alex started it, or perhaps he's just the first one that I read using the term.
Anyway, I thought that was worth pointing out.
As for the rest of the movie. There wasn't much in it for me. Good Injun gets captured by Bad injuns, Good Injun goes on a forced march back to Bad Injun capital city, Good Injun makes a serious of miraculous escapes starting with a fortuitous solar eclipse that begins just in time to save his miserable life. <yawn>
We never even got to see the good part! I was under the mis-impression that we would get to see the bad assed white dudes kick the shit out of the Bad Injuns. Unfortunately, the movie didn't make it that far. Maybe there will be a sequel.

We all deep down inside know what Mel really thinks. And the more success he acomplishes without jewz, the better it is for Gibson and the more truth about them will come up in the future.

I would like to go see this movie, just to support a White Mans venture away from the jew if for nothing ealse.
Was this movie as violent as the smear jobbers say?

The reviews are either horrible, or great. Meaning the morons are dumping on Mel. It's a good movie, chock full of hard-core violence.
These "civilizations" of the Mayans and Incans were practically built on human sacrifice and torture.

For decades we've been told that stories of human sacrifice and cannabalism among the Mayan and Azteca were fabricated by the evil (White) conquistadores and Catholic Church. Mel's "Apocalypto" takes a long, healthy piss on that notion.

I heard on ctoc the other night the guest that was on said that the myains God had blonde hair and blue eyes.
I wasn't watching the same thing as you, but I have heard in the past the natives cast gold at Columbus's and the Spainiards feet because they thought he was their god returning. Pretty interesting stuff, really.

This is common with so many non-white cultures. The South American Indians had their Kon Tiki. Hell, even Budda (an Indian prince) was said to have blue eyes. I think White men have been roaming the globe for a long, long time.
