Beverly Hills rabbi busted for ‘molesting boys in Brooklyn’

A rabbi from Brooklyn was arrested in Beverly Hills for allegations that he molested boys in New York City, according to ABC-7 in Los Angeles.

Mechachem Tewel, 30, who also goes by the name Mendel Tevel was led away in handcuffs from the JEM Center, a Beverly Hills Jewish youth center, were he had been working.

There was a warrant out for this arrest from the NYPD. He was wanted for two counts of criminal sexual acts and sexual abuse, ABC-7 reported.

Four boys had come forward charging that the former Brooklyn youth worker molested them sometime between the mid 1990′s and 2004, the Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles reported.
