TUSCOLA COUNTY (WJRT) - (09/12/07)--Fifteen months ago, she made national headlines after secretly leaving her Mid-Michigan home to see a man she says she fell in love with on the Internet.

Wednesday, the teen known as "The MySpace Girl" is once again on her way to the Middle East.

Katherine Lester, now living in Tuscola County, traveled to the Middle East last year to meet her Internet boyfriend but was stopped by authorities in Jordan and returned to Flint.

She was 17 at the time and did not have her parents' permission to make the trip. Now, three months after her 18th birthday, she is free to make the travel decision on her own.

Wednesday morning, she boarded a flight at Flint's Bishop International Airport.

Days after her return from the Middle East last year, Lester sat down in an exclusive one-on-one interview.
