Now comes the pic, a couple of days or so later. I used to see that murdered Honolulu attorney's TV ads.

Joe Jackson drifted in and out of his boys' lives when they were young, taking them for lunch or to play basketball every couple of months. As adults, he'd slip them a $100 bill at the odd family gathering. (Nominations for nigger sainthood, anybody? WEho, what, when, where, why?)
But two years ago, the man who'd labored his whole life driving a truck and a cab figured out a way to make them all rich. (More omnipresent nigger genius!) Except his attorneys were trying to steal the idea, he told his family.

"He went to them, he trusted them,'' his niece Brenda Jackson said Saturday. "He said this is gonna pay off big."

...Jackson began shooting Friday at the group of West Loop attorneys he believed had stolen his dream invention -- a special port-a-potty for truckers. (His attornies planned to unduly enrich themselves with this groid's specialized fiberglass porta-potty!)

He was churchgoing man, a deacon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where he would lead morning prayer, his family said. One of his prized possessions was his black King James Bible, which he kept at the apartment he shared with his sister. The pages were stuffed with innumerable bits of paper -- including programs from services and a piece of paper that read: "Trust God."

Jackson was born in Alabama and came to Chicago in his early 20s. He separated from his wife in the early 1970s; the couple had two sons. While he was not always around and couldn't quite bring himself to say the words "I love you'' to them, he never lost touch with his boys, Darrin Jackson said. And he was never a violent man, his family said.

(Uh oh-- look out! Nigger reads the internet and learns!) ...he did research on the Internet and found what he believed was evidence the lawyer had patented the idea.

A McKenna relative told a family friend Saturday that the gunman had come to McKenna a few years back, trying to get something patented. After checking it out, McKenna told him there already was a patent on the product.

If Jackson did see the name McKenna on a toilet-related patent, it may be from the Boston-based Cesari and McKenna firm that has no relation to Michael McKenna. The Boston firm has served as attorney/agent on 18 toilet-related patents, though none that appear too similar to Jackson's idea.

Police say gunman felt cheated over invention

Joe Jackson, 59, told witnesses he had been cheated over an invention.

CHICAGO — The gunman who fatally shot three people in a law firm's high-rise office before he was killed by police felt cheated over an invention, authorities said Saturday.

Joe Jackson forced a security guard at gunpoint to take him up to the 38th floor offices of Wood, Phillips, Katz, Clark & Mortimer, which specializes in intellectual property and patents. He carried a revolver, knife and hammer in a large manila envelope and chained the office doors behind him, police said.

Jackson, 59, told witnesses before he was shot that he had been cheated over a toilet he had invented for use in trucks, Police Superintendent Phil Cline said Saturday.

He was holding a hostage at gunpoint Friday when SWAT officers shot him from about 45 yards away, Cline said earlier. The hostage was unharmed, police said.

"He had already shot four people. He had reloaded his gun," Cline said Saturday. There were 25 to 30 other people on the floor at the time, Cline said earlier.

Mayor Richard Daley said police did a "tremendous" job handling the situation.

The confrontation at the 43-story Citigroup Center sent office workers fleeing and stranded commuters who use a train station in the building.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified the victims Saturday as Michael R. McKenna, 58, of Chicago; Allen J. Hoover, 65, of Wilmette; and Paul Goodson, 78, of Chicago.

Colleagues told reporters that Hoover was a partner at the firm and McKenna was a patent attorney who rented space from the firm. They said Goodson worked part time at the firm, sorting mail and making deliveries.

Jackson had McKenna's business card in his pocket, Cline said.

Cline said Jackson had tried at least one other time Friday to go up to the firm's offices but was turned away.

Jackson had three criminal offenses on his record, Cline said. In 1968 he was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon and in 1977 he was arrested for a stolen motor vehicle and disorderly conduct.

McKenna's longtime paralegal, [color="Red"]Ruth Zak Leib, 57, (Good shootin', Joe!) of Oak Park, was treated for a gunshot wound to the foot and released.

Apparently the man hasn't done much travellin', or he'd know that there are already REST STOPS THAT CONTAIN BATHROOMS for truckers!!

Can you imagine, 50 years from now they'll be discussin' the great shitbox inventor Joe Jackson in hushed, reverent tones in Black History classes, right alongside other luminaries as the guy who allegedly invented peanut butter!!!

What? Park at a rest stop you say? You must not see how much simpler it would be to whip you 10 ton semi over on the side of the highway and pee in a 'porta-potty'!

Gee how revolutionary, I wonder if a child's training potty was his inspiration? Considering the fact there are compact toilets in planes and busses, if there were any need to put one in a semi it would have been done by now.

On the bright side, police did the right thing and shot him - now we wont have to support him in jail.
