OTTAWA - The Conservative government has introduced legislation that would create special advocates to defend the interests of suspected terrorists and spies tagged for deportation under the controversial security certificate process.

The bill is intended to bring the process in line with the Charter of Rights after the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional.

Currently, non-citizens suspected of being a threat to national security can be held indefinitely under certificates and are not allowed to see details of the case against them.

In February, the high court overturned the system, saying more must be done to protect individual rights. But it suspended the ruling's effect for one year to give Parliament a chance to overhaul the law.

Under the proposed changes, a special advocate would protect a person's interests by challenging the government's claims of secrecy over evidence, as well the relevance and weight of the facts.

Meanwhile, the NDP, one of the opposition parties(who also seem to love faggots) said it don't go far enough and the sand nigger terror suspects deserve even more rights. The leader said something along the lines of "we don't want to turn into what The Kwa is in this aspect".

Yeah, that's all we need. Giving sand niggers that want to kill us even more rights.
