The kikes' affinity for scheming has won them many world championships, but this was the second all-White match in row. Carlsen is Norwegian and Caruana is an Italian-American.
The first 12 games were all draws, so it went to rapid tie breaks. The regular games lasted hours apiece, but the rapid games only allowed each player 25 minutes on his clock, plus 10 seconds extra for each move. Caruana has always struggled in fast time controls.
