Dmitry Agarkov from the Russian city of Voronezh is trying to sue the Tinkoff bank for $ 800,000 of compensation, according to the terms of the loan contract he had added himself written in small print. This is a wide-known trick banks use to incorporate unfavorable conditions to the clients which the latter accept without reading the document thoroughly. Agarkov has turned the bank’s own weapon against it, by rewriting the small-print terms in his favor.
