Collierville Mayor wants to keep Confederate monument despite protests to take it down

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Protesters called for a confederate monument in Collierville to be taken down during the Mayor and Board of Alderman meeting Monday night.
Several protesters argued that the monument is just like a Nazi symbol.
“The Confederates are the American equivalents of Nazis,” said Aaron Boggan. “They are murderers, torturers, traitors and racists.”
