Yes, those amongst us who do not have JOBS outside looting, gang banging, and drug dealing have all the time in the world to camp in front of a store to wait to pay outrageous ammounts for a stupid video game.

In about 2-3 years when the next system comes out and you cannot even give the current ones away the same idiots will be camped out again.

I'd be more then exstatic to see less White males in line - gives me hope they are doing better with their time and $$. I play the occassional video game, but having a hobby and your life revolving around it (ie - camping out and fighting for it as though it were a NEED for survival) are 2 seperate issues.

My little 2 yo is on my lap and watched that with me. She had a look of horror on her face and said softly, "No, no. Mommy they're naughty."

To think, when I was a kid I begged for a telescope and a microscope which my mother explained to me was a "waste of $$" but gladly bought my brother his game stuff.

I have an x-box and enjoy a few games from time to time myself. To me I find it relaxing and fun. And thats all it is meant to be. I don't let it rule my life or affect it. Just down time before bedtime. If I'm not doing the gaming, then I'm reading.

Shit, you can download videogames and videogame console emulators off the internet for FREE, allowing you to play anything from Atari 2600 to Xbox 360, depending on your PC power.
I heard you can even download games on CD or DVD and play them on a console you do own, all for free.

From what I hear the PS3 games that are out aren't any good anyway, nothing special that gamers would skip work and school for.

I watched the PS3 launch video at Gametrailers.com. The video was filmed in San Franscisco and almost all of the attendees were asiatic. It seems most of these little kotakus are going to sell the units on ebay at first.
