Greg Johnson has announced that there will no longer be Comments at Counter Currents due to his increased workload.
Terminating comments at Occidental Observer was a good thing, to my mind, because several very boring people had taken up permanent residence there, chatting daily across their backyard fence (so to speak), and because of the sheer volume. But I will miss the comments at Counter Currents; few enough to handle, and of a consistently higher quality than at TOO where the elite don't mix with the riff-raff.
From its beginning, I strongly supported Counter Currents, considering it the best available for intelligent White Nationalists. I knew of the likely homosexuality of some contributors, including possibly Greg, himself, but believed it was not injecting itself into the content or skewing interpretation.
Until I read a particular article by James O'Meara that was, in fact, interpreted from an entirely homosexual mindset. That caused me to listen to the Stark interview of O'Meara at VoR, which was so repulsive to me, that it took 3 or 4 sittings for me to get through it. There was no way that I could reconcile his squirming contempt for White traditions and preposterous proposal of homo or negro with the White traditionalism being promoted so eloquently by Greg, his unswerving advocate.
A quick search at that time of the special artists that were featured revealed that almost all were, in one way or another, non- or anti-traditional. I may have over-reacted, but I came to believe the occult war "in plain sight" that Greg wrote about so interestingly was Counter-Currents' determination to bring homosexuals and warped homosexual thinking into White Nationalism.
It's doubtful that either WN comments or WN articles do much for the survival of Whites. In the 1930s heyday of the New York Intellectuals and Partisan Review, the ADL and the AJC had already been going strong for several decades. : (
