ZAGREB (EJP) --- A Croatian student was arrested last week after sending an e-mail to a Jewish Community in Zagreb indicating his support for Hamas.

In an message sent from his university computer on Friday, Ivan Kesic wrote that he had entered the controversial Iranian Holocaust caricature competition and if he won would donate a portion of his prize money to Hamas.

The 21-year-old was charged with racist discrimination and spent a night in a Zagreb prison police from Zagreb.

Not threatening

The offending email contained the sentence: “If I get a financial prize for the best caricature of Holocaust on competition in Iran one part of it I will give it to Hamas’.

He also wrote that he supports Iran’s nuclear program.

Speaking to EJP after his release Kesic denied he had threatened the Jews of Zagreb at all.

“I spent whole night in prison with police and agents because of that letter which I would describe as provocative not threatening,” he said.

He said that although he disagrees with Israeli politics, which he described as “racist” he is not a member of Hamas.

“ I support Palestinians but I am not part of Hamas,” Kesic told EJP and confirmed that he send his caricature of Holocaust to competition in Iran.

Communal satisfaction

The Jewish Community received his letter on Friday morning and reported it to a police and Croatian Counter Intelligence agency (POA). The student was arrested on Friday in the afternoon.

Jakov Binenfeld, an influential member of the local Jewish Community said he was pleased with the police's speedy reaction.

“We are satisfied with a happy end. The young man was arrested and that’s it,” he told EJP. (and that's what it's all about - keeping the kikes happy)

Aleksandra Ljuba, spokesperson of Zagreb police, said that the investigation is over. “We reported him for racist discrimination and let him go,” he said.

I wonder if someone can post the email, phone number, and mailing address for this Jewish Community Center in Zagreb. I'm sure there are many that want to communicate their feelings and thoughts.

Maybe the police in Zagreb just kept him overnight to make it look good, so the whiney Kikes will not start their usual tirades over every little thing that displeases that noble race of Civil Rights Activists / Human Rights Activists.
