Plzen - The Czech police have accused one of the two men they detained at an event attended by about 50 neo-Nazis on Saturday night, whom they suspect of having committed the crime of support to and promotion of a movement aiming to suppress the rights and freedoms of man.

According to the police, a song celebrating the neo-Nazi organisation National Resistance was sung at the event, therefore it was decided to end the musical production that involved the two men detained, police spokeswoman Martina Zoubkova told CTK.

The police checked all persons present. Some 60 policemen participated in the action.

Zoubkova said the police gained the information that the celebration of the first anniversary of establishment of a rightist-orientated group is held in a Plzen restaurant.

According to CTK's information the organisation are Autonomous Nationalists Plzen that participated in the organisation of several marches of rightist radicals in the city.

The Autonomous Nationalists are active in other Czech regions as well. According to the police, they cooperate with the National Resistance and the far-right Workers' Party.

In the past few months they hav staged a number of neo-Nazi demonstrations, particularly in northern Bohemia and also events in support of ten radicals who were accused recently.

CTK has found out that the police also seized on the spot clothes with pictures promoting the neo-Nazi movement. The clothes were most probably destined for sale.

The police also found sheets with song lyrics.
