Sean Jones, 16, of Jacksonville, Florida died on Thursday on the front porch of his friend’s home from a fatal gun wound while playing Russian roulette with a friend, police said. His 12-year-old friend told the detectives that he gave Jones a gun belonging to his grandparents, but Jones, instead of completely unloading it, only removed four rounds, leaving one in the cylinder.

"This is the game that me and my cousin used to play", the boy allegedly said before spinning the cylinder and closing it.

Jones then put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger, firing one round through his head, police said.

"I had no idea he knew about that game, he was a nice kid. He was being good, getting ready to go to 10th grade. He had got a job" said Jones' grandfather, Freddie Sanders.

The Sanders’ gave a message for all the children out of school for the summer who may be looking for something to do: "Please, leave the guns alone. Tell their parent to put locks on them. There's too much killing going on today for young children".
