Drudge called himself "a heat seeking missile" that goes to where the action is.

"I will go where the action is, sometimes before it's cool to do it, that’s why I get in trouble. I make waves, I don’t surf them as I used to say. That’s not that easy in this atmosphere with so many news outlets," Drudge said.

When asked by one of the hosts about his site's partisan bent, Drudge said his site is "partisan to the news" before saying that the country is as divided as the press.

"All of these polls are always divided. Capitol Hill is divided. How can you say the airwaves or the website should not be divided. We are," he said.

Drudge said he's obsessed with what's happening on the border with thousands of immigrants attempting to enter the country illegally.

"These are very hot spicy issues here. We're into an interesting summer here. We're only about a week into it, I'm sensing some heat. And not just from the temperature outside, I think things are heating up in many respects," Drudge said.
