Drugs & weapons found in resident’s room at Jewish youth center

Police uncovered a myriad of psychedelic drugs and weapons — including an assault rifle — in the room of a resident at a Jewish youth center in Brooklyn Tuesday, authorities said.

Cops say an anonymous tip led to a search at the AYILA Institute in Crown Heights shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Police said they found Aaron Akaberi, 28, to be in possession of psychedelic mushrooms, LSD and several hallucinogenic pills.

Officers also allegedly found an AR-15 assault rifle and a hunting rifle in the closet of Akaberi’s cluttered room.

Akaberi was awaiting arraignment at Brooklyn Criminal Court on Wednesday and had not been charged yet, according to police.
