A county grand jury has indicted a former El Segundo fifth-grade teacher on charges that he molested 13 boys, including two in his Center Street School classroom and others in Plumas and Orange counties.

Jeffrey Simonek, 28, of Torrance faces 20 counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 years old, stemming from alleged crimes that occurred primarily from September 2011 to September 2012. One crime was alleged to have occurred in 2007, according to the indictment.
