African bushmeat sold in Europe, America, scientists say

LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Meat from wild animals including primates is being sold in clandestine markets in North America and Europe, according to a report released Wednesday.
Wildlife biologist Justin Brashares, of the University of California, Berkeley, and a team a volunteers tracked down the illicit trade in Paris, Brussels, London, New York, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles.
"I have 27 records of chimpanzee and
gorilla parts being sold in markets," Brashares told New Scientist magazine."In each case it was not a complete body, but a hand, leg or in two cases, a head," he added.
Bushmeat is meat from wild animals including gorilla, chimpanzee, forest antelope, crocodile and bush pig. It is a food staple among forest-dwelling communities in Africa and a source of income for thousands of people.
But the hunting and sale of wild animal meat is a threat to endangered species and also poses a health risk because eating bushmeat has been linked to fatal illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and Ebola.
Brashares stumbled upon the illegal trade after a chance conversation two years ago with a Ghanaian taxi driver in New York who took him to a market in a warehouse in Brooklyn.
"I was shocked that open markets sell large quantities of African bushmeat in major cities outside of Africa," Brashares added.
At a meeting of the Society for Conservation Biology last month he said 6,000 kilograms (13,230 pounds) of bushmeat moves through the seven markets each month.
Small antelopes called Duikers were the most common type of bushmeat in the markets, but Brashares said meat from primates, rodents, reptiles and birds was also being sold.

I sure hope that this stuff is some sort of expensive delicacy,
bought by expat Africans to revisit the fond memories, from
days of yore, of eating an adversary. If that meat is cheaper
than beef, you just KNOW some son-of-a-bitch is going to start

Being the kind of places where logic seldom gets in the way of advancing an ideology, I’m sure our higher learning institutions are harboring more than a few Marxists who would tell us we should “embrace” the sale and consumption of bushmeat in order to further the inclusion of niggers into Kwan society, scientifically-provable health risks be damned (not entirely unlike their convenient overlooking of the preponderance of black HIV/AIDS cases when marketing interracial sex).
Thinking along these lines reminds me of a web article I ran across months ago (may have saw it on VNN) that suggested babies should be introduced to a wide array of “multicultural foods,” including spiced-up dothead fare and “African meats,” so that they can be given a jumpstart on the wonders of multi-cult. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Gerber starts offering a puree of ape in the interests of furthering multiculturalism, of course.

Something that the media never touches, how black Africans are destroying the wildlife , all over Africa . Within a decade or two most of the large species of Africa could be extinct . Will the media bring that to the world's attention , never !

Maybe we could make a market for nigger meat in Asia? And pay the gorillas 10 bananas per nigger pelt they bring in?

Similar programs were attempted, but the... "aroma" of the negro pelts rendered that concept impractical.
