TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — Libya's Moammar Gadhafi is charging that the NATO alliance is trying to occupy his country and steal its oil.
In a late-night audio address carried on a Syrian TV station, Gadhafi warned that his supporters will fight on, calling for a long battle of insurgency.
"We will fight them everywhere," he said. "We will burn the ground under their feet," Gadhafi said in his second audio address of Thursday.
"Get ready to fight the occupation," he said, speaking in measured tones that contrasted with his stridency earlier in the day. "The occupation will not be able to fight the war for a long time."
Gadhafi's whereabouts are not known.

They're going to drag this Gadhafi thing out a la Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Ladin, culminating in an heroic "capture" moment when the bad guy is finally tracked down. and Mr. President is made to look like the big hero.
