I guess jews received rude treatment at the hands of German forces called "Nazis" in the 1940's. They were made to stand in long lines and had to turn on their own lights and open their own doors during Shabbot. They were made to take cold showers with little hotel soaps. The Candles Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute today unveils a new exhibit featuring oral histories from survivors.

Exhibit curator Kiel Majewski says the new addition is a collection of stories from survivors of Nazi concentration camps, which were collected by students at Indiana State University.

"They interviewed local people with a connection to the Holocaust," he said. "It has turned into a good project and I've definitely learned some things along the way."

The project includes the compelling story of concentration camp survivor Michael "Mickey" Kor. He was rescued from the camp by U.S. forces, which were led by a soldier from Vigo County. After hearing his stories of home, Kor moved to Terre Haute.

There, Kor married Eva Mozes Kor, who had survived the genetic experiments of Josef Mengele in Auschwitz. Eva Kor is the founder of the Candles Museum.

A kick-off reception for the new exhibit was scheduled for Thursday evening. The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

How terrible of those germans. Wait..didn't the jews get "special" treatment? What the hell are they bitching about? They lived in large buildings in a camp type setting with their own kind, they managed to steal from each other, they turned themselves into what they always wanted...the Ultimate Victims.
