If you need to ease the load on your bandwidth you should consider releasing your files on those free upload sites such as megaupload or rapidshare. You could even get a free 2 day rapidshare account to upload to and then if you can get 10,000 total downloads monthly you can renew the account for free which would ensure your uploads never get deleted.

EDIT: I opened the torrent so that I could help seed (I already have the file from before) and it tells me that the tracker is offline (timed out). Is this tracker on the same server that hosts VNN IRC because my IP was apparently blocked as punishment for idling in the IRC channel.

Does the tracker accept connections on any ports other than 6969? I could try a different port.

Of course as you said some might complain and then the file will be killed.But as far as i know most of the downloads happen in the first day or two,isnt that the case?

So even if it stays only for one day on rapidshare for example it will still be a relief to your own server.

What works for the commies should work for us too 😉
