A COMMON heart medication may have the side-effect of influencing racist attitudes, a new study shows.

The Oxford University study found people who took a form of beta-blockers, called propranolol, scored lower on a pyschological test of racist attitudes.

More than a third of the volunteers taking the medication were found to be biased towards being non-racist at a subconscious level.
