Ok, I don't watch much TV, but testing my new converter box, I caught the news. They had the usual 'crime bit' before they signed off (in contrast to the 'good citizen who cares bit' they have every other night), and showed video of a clerk in NYC getting robbed. The robber black (natch), the clerk white, and the black charged in wielding a baseball bat, the clerk holding his hands up and bent down to get the cash...then came up with a shotgun and pointed it at the black. The black immediately fell to his feet, dropped the bat and actually clasped his hands begging for mercy. The clerk came out, still pointing the gun. Then comes the shouting bit. The black told the clerk he only robbed the store because he was out of work and needed to feed his family. The clerk TAKES FORTY DOLLARS OUT OF THE F''''''G REGISTER AND GIVES IT TO HIM!! The black then shot out of the store. I shouted YOU STUPID KWAN M''''''''''R! I was furious, and slammed my fist on the bed.
The shotgun, by the way, was unloaded.
It's hopeless. Utterly hopeless.
