NB Forest responded to a thread about a canadian welfare breeder that blew millions and is back on disability. Got me thinking. What would I do with 10 million (play along that you actually GOT 10 million cash). Here's what I'd do.

1. I would refuse to "publicize" the fact that I won, and threaten to sue the lottery commission in the event my name was published as a winner. Would lay very low for months, not changing my lifestyle much, and if i started looking like i came into money id allow people to think id cashed in a lucrative retirement account.

2. Id buy a used Cirrus plane for travel back and forth between my two, small, 200K each log cedar homes in rural vermont and asheville nc (winters). Id get a used fast bmw, a used prius for getting around and a moped for the summers. And a really nice bike for the trails.

3. Id give each close friend and family member (maybe 10 in all) 50k each but id put it into real estate or put half down on a modest but new 3/2 house and keep it in my name until they paid it off. If they didnt pay it off within 10 years they'd lose the house.

4. I'd invest the rest in real estate, gold, silver, and in Asia

5. Id decide how much to give to a south american orphanage for street kids.
