Snoop gets Russian crowds going with rap classics
Rap star Snoop Dogg has visited Russia for the first time, performing two shows in [color="Navy"]St Petersburg and Moscow, and both shows were sold-out long before he even arrived.
In the early 90s the focus of hip-hop fans shifted from the culture's mecca, New York City, to Los Angeles. Deathrow Records, a label formed by super-producer Dr Dre along with former professional American footballer Suge Night, dominated the airwaves with their new brand of G-funk through the mid 90s.

Putting his name on the map with stellar guest appearances on Dr Dre's The Chronic, Snoop Doggy Dogg quickly became the label's flagship. Since then, the lanky rapper has released 7 more albums on different labels, building an enormous catalogue of hits.

The Doggfather also expanded his activities onto the movie scene, playing parts in such hit films as Training Day and Starsky and Hutch, while also being one of the most noticeable marijuana legalization activists. It's safe to say there is no more internationally known and iconic figure in hip-hop today than Snoop Dogg.

Performing every single one of his multiple club bangers from “What's My Name?” to “Drop It Like It's Hot”, Snoop made sure the sell-out crowd at the B-1 club got their money's worth.

Accompanied by a live band and long-time Doggpound affiliates Daz Dillinger and Soopafly, all sporting the usual khakis and Chuck Taylor Converse shoes, Calvin “Snoop” Broadus brought the West Coast to Moscow and promised to come back
