Hebron: German Tech Firm Selects Boone Site for North American HQ

HBC-radiomatic, a German company that manufactures radio controls, has announced plans to move its North American headquarters to Hebron, Ky.
The company’s new 12,000-s.f. facility will house its North American production and distribution center.

HBC-radiomatic CEO Jason Looman said the region’s available technology workforce and infrastructure in a central location were determining factors in the company’s decision to locate in Hebron.

According to Boone County Judge-Executive Gary Moore, a considerable number of other companies have also seen the benefit of locating in Northern Kentucky: The region is already home to some 160 international companies, 37 of which are German.

HBC-radiomatic will initially employ 15 people and plans to expand to 30 employees in the next three to five years.

HBC-radiomatic has been approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority to receive a Kentucky sales and use tax refund up to $54,050 for eligible construction materials, building fixtures and equipment through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act, which helps to attract expanding technology companies to the commonwealth.
